NATO should develop security guarantees for Ukraine by July – Sunak

British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak said that NATO allies should finalize security guarantees for Ukraine when alliance leaders meet at a summit in July.

The British Prime Minister said this in an interview with Bloomberg.

As noted, Sunak supported the idea of Ukraine joining NATO and insisted that a plan for ensuring the country’s security should be developed beforehand.

“We need to think about how we will protect Ukraine’s security in the future,” he said. “This is a conversation we need to start, because the summit in Vilnius is a good place to end it.

It is specified that NATO leaders will meet on July 11 and 12 in the Lithuanian capital.

Sunak also called on Ukraine’s allies to provide more artillery, long-range weapons, tanks and air defense systems to repel the Russian invasion, saying that the war has reached a tipping point and Kyiv could gain a decisive advantage if it is given the right weapons.
